Where did May go?

I know the months start to go more quickly once the summer gets here but May was just ridiculous. We had a busy month including some travel, a fun Mother's Day celebration and some houseguests to round it out.

As well, every second day there seemed to be someone at the house to deliver one of H's new furniture purchases.

The big guy also started to take a few steps and Lil' E started her summer sport, T-Ball.

For Easter weekend, we were lucky enough to have my sister and her husband in town from Alberta. We had a fun weekend, and celebrated her birthday. Heidi banged out another beauty cake that we all enjoyed...and have continued to enjoy it all this week.

As well, I rented a fisheye lens from Vistek to try out. This is a great if there is ever a lens you want to try; the chance to fool around with a $900 specialty lens for only $25 seemed like a good deal. Overall, this lens would be great for some applications like landscape shots or taking interior shots of tight spaces but it does result in some unflattering results if people in your shots aren't centered. I imagine you would get used to this and find the sweet spots over time. All of the various shots are on my Picasa account but here are a few to whet your appetite:
